Dancing in the Street at Ivybridge Leisure Centre!
Tuesday, 30 March 2010 Tone Leisure’s Ivybridge Leisure Centre is holding a Street Dance taster session on Saturday 10th April at 12noon. Following on from successful sessions of Belly Dancing and Zumba it seems that Ivybridge residents really do like to strut their stuff. The Street Dance taster session will be led by Cally Wills who currently works as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor for Tone Leisure. Tuesday, 30 March 2010 So far, almost 900 children have participated in Play Days arranged by Tone Leisure in the Taunton area since the scheme was launched around two years ago. And they will be back, bigger and better than ever over the Easter break. Monday, 29 March 2010 St James Street Baths will be closed on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday, with normal opening hours over the weekend. Taunton Pool is open from 9am to 5pm on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday and 9am to 5pm on Easter Saturday. On Easter Sunday there is General swimming from 5-6pm and then Adults Only from 6-7pm Wellington Sports Centre is open on Good Friday from 9am-6pm, Saturday as normal, Sunday from 8am - 10pm and on Bank Holiday Monday from 9am - 5pm ...Read more...

Monday, 29 March 2010 Ivybridge, Quayside and Totnes will be open from 10am - 5pm on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday this Easter, with normal weekend opening times for Easter Saturday and Sunday. Dartmouth will be open from 9-12noon on Good Friday and then from 10 - 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday with normal weekend opening times in between.Read more...

Taunton Pool gives away swimming lessons!
Wednesday, 17 March 2010 Taunton Pool will be giving away group swimming lessons to non swimmers from 11years of age upwards (including 60+). During 2009 the Fitness team at Ivybridge Leisure Centre worked hard to enable fitness member Sam Lamb achieve her weight and BMI goals in a three month period so that she would be able to donate a kidney to her husband, in need of a transplant.
