NEW TAUNTON MEND PROGRAMME STARTS JANUARY 2010

MEND stands for Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do it! 

It’s a family-focused, community-based programme that aims to get kids fitter, healthier and happier.

It’s is a FREE 10-week after-school course that takes place in Taunton. Kids and parents come to MEND to have fun and learn together about how to live a healthier lifestyle.  There are 2 sessions per week that alternate between the topics of Mind and Nutrition and every session includes fun games and activities.  Kids get a t-shirt, a bag, a water bottle, a ball and a folder to keep all their MEND stuff in. 

MEND is for kids who are above their ideal weight.  The MEND Programme helps families to live a MEND-friendly lifestyle, which in time can lead to a healthier weight for the child.

Taunton’s MEND Programme is on Mondays and Wednesdays  5.30pm – 7:30pm and a new programme commences January 2010.

The Programmes take place during term time but times and days may change between courses.
